Galvanised Steel

  • Hot rolled pickled base material is produced to cold rolled unannealed coils, which is then Galvanised with a coating of 100% zinc
  • Standard zinc coating is Z450 (450 g/m sq.) for plain galvanised and 275 g/m sq. for pre-painted
  • Galvanised Steel can be supplied in coils or cut to length sheets. Contact info@darius.co.nz for further information and/or your requirements

Galvalume Steel

  • A flat rolled steel sheet coated with alloy of aluminium and zinc, which has been researched for 20 years
  • Galvalume is an aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel; produced by a continous hot dip process that has an attractive appearance. It has the same characteristics with galvanised steel in workability and formability, hence having excellent durability
  • The alloy coating comprises about 55% aluminium, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon. This coating combines the superior surface corrosion resistance of aluminium with the cut edge protection of zinc
  • It has been well accepted as a prefered alternative to both galvanised steel sheets and aluminum coated steel sheets in such areas as roofing and siding, gutters, automotive components, and home appliances
